Good Bye 2007

The Year In Wedding Pictures

After looking at David’s blog covering some of his favorite pictures from 2007, I couldn’t wait to do the same. I can’t believe how much fun I have had over the last year while photographing weddings! Every single wedding we have covered has been absolutely beautiful. Each one has had it’s own special moments. I am so lucky to have been able to capture so many wonderful photos of brides and grooms on their wedding day :)

So, here are a few of my favorites.

Melinda was so unbelievably fun, relaxed, and gorgeous!

I love this picture from the Hogendorf wedding of the bridesmaid getting the “Just Married” car ready for the bride and groom’s departure.

Jennifer and Nicholas made such a cute couple. Their military wedding was one I’ll always remember.

This was an engagement shoot we did with Jenny and Mike. I love how this beautiful moment was captured in the middle of so much commotion.

I think one of my favorite weddings of the year was the Bank wedding.
This is only one of my many favorite shots of this wedding on the lake.

Thank you to all the brides and grooms that made 2007 such a memorable year for Onsite Minnesota. I am looking forward to the coming year and I am completely confident that 2008 will bring even more amazing wedding photography moments.

David’s Best of 2007 Weddings

2007. An obsession with photography found it’s way into the churches, parks, reception halls, and country clubs across the upper Midwest. A profitable way to afford better camera gear turned into a true love of photographing people on their wedding day, better still that I get to share this experience with my true love. I’d really like to thank all the amazing brides and grooms who saw the potential in the pictures from our very first wedding and allowed us to capture their wedding day. The emotion, love, and positive energy of these couples has enabled and inspired us to take wedding photography to a higher level in Minnesota.

I’d also like to thank those of you who have signed with us to be our brides and grooms of 2008. We promise you that in 2008, your wedding photography will convey the truth, beauty, and emotion of your wedding. We promise to show you that some of the best wedding photography in Minnesota is still affordable.

I’d like to share with you my favorite photographic moments of 2007.

#1: The moment I realized the unexpected moments are the most beautiful.

#2: The moment I realized the middle of the dance floor was the place to be.

#3: The moment I realized people make pretty good reflectors.

#4: The moment I fell in love with veils.

#5: The moment I realized depth of field was my friend.

Thank you to everyone who helped us have such a successful 2007. Your kind words and support have meant everything to us.

Happy New Years!

This new years eve, Kristen and I went Shawn and Megan’s for a little food and a lot of fun! Shawn was the exquisite chef for the evening. After a little while, we headed over to the neighborhood dive bar for some really fun bands. The last reminded me of the Beastie Boys when they were just getting started. It was all a lot of fun!

For you photographers… these were all shot with a D80, f/1.4, ISO 3200. It was a dark bar.

Gale Woods Farm Fall Wedding

Congratulations Aubrey and Jeff

David and I will be shooting Aubrey and Jeff’s wedding on September 27th 2008. Their wedding is going to be at Gale Woods Farm.

Gale Woods is a 410 acre park reserve, located on the picturesque Whaletail Lake in Minnestrista Minnesota. The Gale Woods Farm has beautiful wetlands, hiking paths, lake shores, and gardens. We will diffidently be able to get numerous pictures of the bride and groom in the wonderful outdoors. What a perfect place to embrace the beginning of the Fall season.

Best wishes to Aubrey and Jeff as the prepare for the beginning of their new lives together:)

Can’t Wait For March!

David and I will be going to the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention for our first time this year. We are both SO excited to go to Las Vegas!

The WPPI is this huge convention all about photography. There are tons and tons of classes and clinics, seminars, and huge trade show. I can’t believe all of the well-known wedding photographers that are going to be at this convention. Some of the best photographers are going to be teaching classes, and those that are teaching classes are going to be there for the convention. I can’t wait for March.

We registered for the conference and should be booking our hotel and flight soon! We are going to get to stay in a super cool Las Vegas hotel, and shop on the strip, go to all these great classes, and see all these great photographers. I am so excited for all the things I’m going to learn about photography.

Less then 70 days until the WPPI and counting.
