Needtobreathe at the Varsity

One of our favorite bands to see live, Needtobreathe, was back in town tonight for a show at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis. They are a great southern rock band with Christian roots. I Nine and Absentstar opened up for them, who were both pretty good as well! The Varsity Theater is a great intimate venue, who also happens to host weddings. I would love to shoot a wedding there!

Eclipse

Like a lot of photographers, I headed out to attempted to capture the lunar eclipse. I forgot a tripod, so this picture is handheld. I had to incorporate one of my favorite Twin Cities landmarks, the Cathedral of Saint Paul. I don’t know about you, but I found the eclipse a little underwhelming. It was neat, but I almost prefer a good full moon. Maybe because this event was so high in the sky here in Minnesota

Gymnastics: Best of Minnesota Meet

Kristen and I attended the “Best of Minnesota” gymnastics meet at the University of Minnesota. Teams at the meet included Hamline University, Gustavus Adolphus College, Winona State University. I photographed the meet from the crowded stands. These pictures are not for sale or promotional use, but if you ask nicely, I can email you full size images if you were involved with the meet.
