It’s got to be pretty rare that a photographer can shoot a wedding and have three of their brides all together. For Angie and Brandon’s wedding we had one past bride (Amanda), one present bride, (Angie) and one future bride, (Lauren) all together and all in the wedding party! We shot Amanda’s wedding in 2007, and we will be shooting Lauren wedding this July who was also one of Angie’s bridesmaids. It sounds a little more complicated then it really is. Haha!!
David and I were actually very lucky to have been able to shoot Angie and Brandon’s big day. They had booked another photographer, but at the last minute he had to cancel due to health problems. We got the call that they were looking for a photographer that was still available with such soon notice. I’m glad we still had their date open.
The ceremony was at the same church that Angie’s parents were married at years ago. We even reenacted a photo that Angie’s mom and dad had taken at their wedding. It was all very beautiful. The wedding had a ‘peacock’ theme to it and so the whole day was showered with color. The bridesmaid wore adorable pink heels, the programs folded out to resemble a peacock, and there were even peacock feather decorating the sanctuary pews.
After the ceremony, the wedding party went for a ride on a Trolley car to the Noeremberg Gardens for some photos. It was rainy, cold, and wet but that didn’t stop us from grabbing a few shots before heading to the reception. The peacock theme continued at the reception where each table was decorated with a personal cake. Each mini cake was unique and colorful and there were even several different flavors to choose from. The red velvet cake was to die for! The dance floor was packed, and I mean packed! As the night went on guest were invited to enjoy some late night snacks, what a great way to end the evening!
