Our new place is coming together nicely. Our workspace/office upstairs is nearing completion. We have around three gigabytes of storage/backup space, and a new firesafe for keeping backups in. We’ve added a few new comfy work chairs and are looking for a new desk. Our new phone system and fax should be online in the next week or two.
We’ve also moved forward on improving our meeting/viewing/entertaining area downstairs. While the area is wholely undecorated at this time, we have the layout completed. We’ve ordered a new 52″ LCD TV, which should be great for image viewing and slideshows, due to it’s large size and excellent image quality. It’ probably won’t be too bad for movies either
We’ve also added the speakers purchased for our wedding reception to our entertainment system.
For those audiophile and videophiles out there (no, those aren’t dirty words), I’ll give you the details, as I’m very excited to have scored some amazing deals on the top-end products! The TV is Toshiba’s current best, as well as largest, the 52XF550U. They have an AMAZING deal at Costco on this TV. We picked this up as a wedding present to ourselves and our business. The speakers are Polk LSi25. They are a 3.5 way design, with ring tweeters and 10″ powered woofers. I haven’t been to big on Polk in the past, instead perferring brands such as Dynaudio and Morel (which have been moved to roles as surround speakers. The speakers, which are Polk’s flagship, have changed my opinion of the brand. These speakers need tons of power to bring out the dynamics and soundstage, and are powered by an Anthem two channel power amp.
