Melanie and Ari

Event: Engagement Shoot
Location: The Heart of Burnsville, Burnsville, MN

With the seasons changing and winter on its way, we thought it would be a perfect time to shoot Melanie and Ari’s engagement photos. The sun was shining, and Melanie and Ari were all smiles as we walked around the Heart of Burnsville and took some great shots.

Melanie and Ari will be getting married in Duluth in July 2009. Best of luck to them both as they continue to plan their upcoming wedding. We look forward to spending your special day with you.

Savanna and Victor’s Engagement

These pictures of this amazing couple almost slipped through the cracks, and missed getting posted on our blog, but we have to get these out there for you to see. Savanna and Victor were an amazing couple to work with. We almost didn’t want to stop shooting and used the full two hours of their engagement photography session. We march around the river in Minneapolis, stopping for some amazing scenery and light around the Mill City Museum and Guthrie Theater. We’ll be putting together their best photos for use in our “Engagement Photo Guest Books.”

Will You Marry Me?

Boy finds girl on Myspace, girl asks boy out, boy falls in-love with girl, boy asks girl to marry him, girl says, “yes!”

Yesterday was an Amazing day!
David asked me to marry him!
Of course I said yes.

On Thursday afternoon, David and I went to the Saint Paul Humane Society to look at the kitties. David’s been wanting to buy a kitty for a while but we just hadn’t found that perfect one…until yesterday. We adopted the kitty, brought him home, and instantly begin showing our new animal baby with love.

Not long after we got home with our new kitty, I had to leave to go to work. Little did I know that while I was at work, David was running around like crazy trying to get everything just perfect. Of course I managed to forget my cell-phone, so David asked me to give him a call when I was leaving work. So I called him from work to tell him I was on my way over.

I walked into the apartment to discover that David had been hard at work preparing us an amazing dinner. He cooked us one of our favorite meals, including a dinner salad and champagne! Everything was perfect.

I was super excited to get back to the apartment and play with the new kitty so the first thing I did was walk over to say hello to the little guy. David said he went to the pet store and had gotten our new kitty some stuff. I noticed that the kitty had a new little heart shaped name tag on. I picked kitty up and was like, “oh you got him a name tag, what does it say?” The little tag read, “Will You Marry Me?” I looked at David and he said, “Will You?” I was like, “Of Course!” I am so HAPPY! I’m the happiest girl in the world. I get to marry the greatest boy in the whole universe.

So you might be wondering what we decided to name the new kitty? We named him Ringer Brett. Ringer because he was the bearer of the happy news of the ring, and Brett because he was bought on the day Brett Favre announced his retirement. As you can imagine, I had nothing to do with the choosing of the middle name.

What a great day! And now, there’s wedding planning to do.

Gale Woods Farm Fall Wedding

Congratulations Aubrey and Jeff

David and I will be shooting Aubrey and Jeff’s wedding on September 27th 2008. Their wedding is going to be at Gale Woods Farm.

Gale Woods is a 410 acre park reserve, located on the picturesque Whaletail Lake in Minnestrista Minnesota. The Gale Woods Farm has beautiful wetlands, hiking paths, lake shores, and gardens. We will diffidently be able to get numerous pictures of the bride and groom in the wonderful outdoors. What a perfect place to embrace the beginning of the Fall season.

Best wishes to Aubrey and Jeff as the prepare for the beginning of their new lives together:)

Wedding Bells in July

David and I would like to introduce our newest wedding couple, Angie and Ryan, who are getting married on July 26th, 2008.

The bride are groom are an adorable couple. Angie and Ryan met in college, fell in-love, got engaged, and after their wedding this July will begin their “happily ever after.”

The best part is that they seem like a perfect fit, as far as what they are looking for, and what we like to do. It’s so exciting to meet with couples who are looking for exactly the kind of photography style we love to do.

The wedding is taking place in Excelsior, MN with the reception at a lovely country club in Waconia. I’m very excited that we are going to be taking bride/groom shots at the Arboretum in Chanhassen. The trees and flowers are diffidently going to be beautiful! Best of luck to Angie and Ryan as they continue to get ready for their special day.
