We were very excited to shoot Alye and Dan’s wedding! We couldn’t have ended a great 2010 wedding season with a sweeter couple. We shot Alye and Dan’s engagement photos earlier this year in Sedona, AZ and so we had a chance to hang out with Alye and Dan, as well as Alye’s parents. We were excited to get to spend their wedding day with them and capture all their happy moments together.
Alye and Dan are both extremely competitive, high level cross-country skiers. We knew from our first meeting with the couple that they wanted a lot of outdoor photos. After our recent snow storms there was more then fifteen inches of snow, which was perfect for a couple that spends so much time out in the cold snowy weather. After everyone had cold red noses from our photo fun out in the snow, it was time for a gorgeous ceremony and a ski themed reception. The reception tables were all names of ski locations, and Alye even did some dancing with her ski-poles at one point of during the night.
Alye and Dan, we wish you the best as you start this new journey together. Alye, keeping kicking Dan’s butt whenever you get the chance, and Dan, don’t let Alye win every time okay:) Congratulations!
